The upgrade kit we have today comes in a medium sized; attractive, flip top box decorated in black, white, red and blue with a picture of the drive. Listed on the front of the box is the advertised read write speed of 555/510MB/s respectively. The drives capacity before formatting is listed as well 240GB in this case. Also noted is the fact that Kingston offers free technical support and that the HyperX 3K has a 3 year factory warranty.
Looking at the rear of the box we find a few attributes of solid state drives in several languages along with 6 small pictures of the included contents.
Inside the box we find the drive and all those goodies. There is of course the HyperX 3K 240GB drive, a 3.5” blue anodized mounting adapter, a usb 2.0 2.5” drive enclosure, SATA cable, mini usb to usb cable, cloning software, mounting screws and even a cool aluminum screwdriver with 3 interchangeable tips. Everything you could possibly need to make transitioning to an SSD a breeze.
