Things fail to look good for the Orochi even from the beginning since it is the last in our high end CPU cooler list. Still 10 degrees Celsius bellow the stock Intel cooler is not too bad.

The Orochi managed to pass this test with flying colors. After thing it is only natural that it did so bad in previous tests. It is not possible to be so silent and yet yield excellent results.
I mentioned earlier that Scythe is reporting a 10.8dBA of noise coming out of the Orochi while as can be seen i measured a bit more than twice that. Having contacted many manufacturers i now know that the noise levels are measure not 10cm above the device but more than half a meter away. That is reasonable since i doubt anyone will be just 10cm away from the tower but either way the most silent solution is always the winner whether the measurements have been taken from 10cm away of half a meter away.
