CONCLUSION

 

 

 

 

    Much like the 1250W model we had with us a long time ago the latest Revolution 85+ 1020W is an excellent power supply unit featuring high efficiency levels, great build quality, rock solid rails and whisper quiet running thanks to the new Twister fan designed and manufactured by Enermax. But that is not all, the new model measures less in size than its predecessor and that will also appeal to many potential buyers with small to medium sized cases. Design wise the Revolution 85+ 1020W is almost identical to the rest of the Revolution 85+ line which we happen to like a lot. The only real difference is the lack of a status LED at the rear and a 3pin fan cable and although i can't say that these were much of a use with the first models to begin with still some users may miss them.

 

 

    As we speak the Revolution 85+ 1020W retails at around USD250 inside the USA and 235Euros inside the EU so as expected from an Enermax high end power supply unit it does not come cheap. In the end power supply units are just like cars, graphics cards, PC cases, clothes, glasses and just about anything else in our daily lives so the real questions you need to be asking yourself are two and these are whether or not you want to have one of the best power supply units in the market (or you can live with something less high end) and if 1020W are enough to feed your system. If the answer to both is yes then the Enermax offering is amongst the best money can buy and that is why we award it our Editors Real Deal Choice Award.
